Litter & Graffiti

Litter is a real problem for us here in Chislehurst. The Society, in partnership with other Chislehurst organisations, does what it can to minimise its impact on us all.

The Society holds bi-monthly clean-up mornings where volunteers, supplied with the necessary equipment, collect litter and clear graffiti from areas in and around the High Street, including the Commons.

We need volunteers, whether you can only devote 10 minutes or 10 hours a month your help will be invaluable in keeping Chislehurst a litter-free village we would love to hear from you. Please get in touch if you can help on 0208 467 0900 or email: admin@chislehurst-society.org.uk

You can also help by:

By becoming a member of the local team for volunteers ready to assist in organised clean-up operations.
Taking time to collect litter in areas where you walk or near where you live.

Become a snow friend

Snow friends are local people who volunteer to clear snow and ice in their street working as a group with a nominated co-ordinator or with a local community group or Residents Association.

As a snow friend, your help is invaluable, supporting our work in local residential side streets, which are not part of the council’s priority snow clearance operation.
