We are pleased to announce the awarding of a significant grant to the National Trust and volunteer team towards the reclamation of Pond Wood on the Hawkwood Estate. 

Many of our members and other residents, as well as visitors from further afield, have appreciated discovering the delights of this attractive area during lockdown. Several people have commented on its precarious balance between natural growth and storm damage. Our funds will be contributing to restoring the correct ecological environment so we can continue to enjoy this habitat in its best state.
