Q. We also received an enquiry relating to an inhabitant of the Water Tower,c1900, a Dutch immigrant by the name of Jan Wyckaert .  He was a gardener for Leonard Powell.  This information was revealed in newly discovered letters in the family. 

A. We identified the employer as Sir Leonard Powell of Heatherbank and directed the enquirer to Edwardian Chislehurst for a description of Sir Leonard.  Unfortunately a trawl of the street directories for 1900 did not reveal this name and we can only surmise he was a temporary lodger.  W Potter and Mrs Lelliott were the residents at the time.
