Q. While searching the internet I chanced upon The Cockpit, no. 97, Summer 2012.  I lived in Chislehurst from 1934 until 1959, attending The Annunciation infants (destroyed in the war) and St Nicholas junior schools in Chislehurst and the Chislehurst and Sidcup County Grammar School for Boys, then at Footscray, by Crittalls Corner.

I was particularly interested in the two photographs from Mrs Hunt [reproduced below]. Michael Hunt and I were together at the above three schools (I was a year younger than Michael) and I am in the second of the two Scout photographs, which was taken on open land close to Hawkwood House.

As children, Mrs Hunt and I lived in adjacent roads in Chislehurst and I remember swapping newts and tadpoles with her that we had caught in the ponds on Chislehurst Common.
