The Chislehurst Society helps to keep Chislehurst special.

we meet for talks, exhibitions, film nights… and coffee every Wednesday in the Old Chapel
we work with Local Businesses to offer an exclusive Local Reward/Discount Scheme.

In 2017 we bought the freehold of the Chislehurst Commons and the Lord of the Manor title. We promote the protection and improvement of local amenities and together we work hard to ensure that the local Green Belt and National Trust land is conserved for future generations.

The Chislehurst Society supports research into local history. We arrange talks and exhibitions using our extensive archive of old photographs. Our heritage group meets monthly, publishing information and answering your family history enquiries.

Each month the Society reviews all Chislehurst applications submitted to the Planning Department at the London Borough of Bromley. We make observations and objections where appropriate. We receive and share information about decisions and appeals.

Important Information

Your card details will be taken today alongside your chosen membership amount for the current membership year (which runs March 1st-end February), however, your annual subscription will not be charged until the next March 1st. Your payment will renew at the same amount every March automatically until cancelled. The sooner you sign up within the membership year, the better value for money!

You can either become a member for £5.00 (or £10.00 if you live outside of Chislehurst), make a £20.00 annual donation in addition to your £5.00 membership or make a £45.00 annual donation in addition to your £5.00 membership. All donations are received with thanks.
