The Chislehurst Society is Recruiting!
We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers who care about Chislehurst, its environment and amenities, to become trustees of our charity, join our committee and keep things moving. Residents from anywhere in BR7 are really welcome, representing everyone in our community.
We work to make a difference locally, with our network of contacts and funds. Our new premises, The Old Chapel in Queens Passage, is already successful and we are at the next stage in our strategic development.
The Chislehurst Society has the funds to provide substantial grants towards making an impact on Chislehurst. However, we need more people on our committee to help us deliver that impact.
Meetings are held once a month on a Wednesday evening and in between some of us get together on particular projects. We are active and need other enthusiastic people to join this activity.
Essentially if you can offer us your time in any capacity, we can see what responsibility you want to lead on down the line. In the main, each of us takes on a particular remit such as planning, schools liaison, heritage but specifically recruitment is for a transport champion (which would include the needs of pedestrians too), a marketing leader and an events coordinator. However all skills are helpful, it's your interest and a level of commitment we're after.
Come and get to know us. Give us a call and we'll meet to chat about your input.
We look forward to hearing from you.
Tony Allen, Chair, Joanna Friel, Vice -Chair and all the team
