Footpath repairs in Petts Wood and Hawkwood
The Chislehurst Society has given grants in recent years to The National Trust Committee for Petts Wood and Hawkwood to carry out essential repairs to some of the footpaths in the National Trust land.
These include the footpath along the Kyd Brook, and some more recent work on paths in Willett Wood.
The Ranger, Sam Pettman, has recently expressed his thanks to the Society: "We finished this work with the volunteers yesterday. I’m so pleased we’ve managed to surface this stretch of path – most paths in this area of the Willett Wood are quite dry and in good shape, but this one has always been in relatively poor condition and is heavily used. So, a good result and my sincere thanks to the Society for helping out."
