Windmill

We have some images of the Windmill before and after its demolition and we have enjoyed stories from Tom Bushell's Imperial Chislehurst, which tell of the spies being placed up in the windmill to spy on Napoleon III whilst The Emperor had spies spying on those spies on the ground floor of the Windmill.

The Imperial Arms began life as The Windmill public house giving us plenty of references to this wonderful scene.
