Recent articles in The Cockpit
The Cockpit magazine was first published in 1964. Its forerunner was Chislehurst Resident, which was first produced in 1961.
Initially Cockpit covered both topical and historical information, but in 1994 The Chislehurst Report was launched to cover topical information, leaving Cockpit to concentrate on the rich history of Chislehurst.
It is now published twice yearly, and is distributed free to members.
Recent contents have included:
- Update on the work being done by ODAS at Scadbury
- Hawkwood and its trees
